Follow up of a Petition Hearing of a father at the Petition Committee of the European Parliament on 11th November 2014 about violation of European Union Law through a EU member state. The first petition hearing was on 19th March 2014 and is also available on archive.org
This father reports about having a UK registered order for contact with his child since June 2009 in England.
As there was nearly no contact between father and child between 2009 and 2014 (ongoing) and definitely not the monthly 10 hours respectively 5 days/month contact as given by the foreign Family Court the European Commission has been informed about the situation in March 2010.
But there was no activity from European Commission who is factually the Government on the European Union for this kind of affairs.
In the petition hearing it came out that the European Commission has never contacted the member state United Kingdom about this.
IN this case since 2009 there have been around 18 Court hearings in around 22 hearing days at London High Court Family Division where the father repeatedly requested to support and enforce contact with his child.
It came out that the European Commission, who had been requested through the European Parliaments Petition committee on 19th March 2014 to contact the Member State United Kingdom and request further details on the situation has not done this.
Further it was reported through the European Commission that there has been a public consultation of the existing Brussels IIa regulation which is EU law under EC2201/2003.
Also it was reported that the European Commission had already collected 28 reports from the EU member states.
